About the project
Smart Date hosts in-person speed dating events for people tired of endless swiping. Users meet at the event first, and chat opens in the app only if there's a mutual match.
Event date, venue and details live in the app; balanced attendance, identity verification and moderation keep it safe.
The need
Event registration, match voting and follow-up communication were handled manually.
What we built
We automated event registration, post-event matching and match-gated chat in a single app.
Key features
- Event calendar by city
- Mutual matching after events
- Match-gated in-app chat
- Identity verification and moderation
